The Ninth Age takes place on a world geographically and culturally similar to our own. While trade and politics occupy much of day to day life of the civilized races, war remains the absolute king maker.

In the Ninth Age of this world, 16 different factions, each with their own aspirations, battle for supremacy. Some - like the noble Kingdom of Equitaine or the proud Dwarven Holds - fight for the honour of their people and lands. Others, such as the savage Orcs and Goblins or the vile Daemon Legions, seek only violence and destruction.
