Essence of War

Essence of War is a rules set in the Quick Play game system. It is designed for fast, simple, yet tactically exciting rank-and-file battles in the world of The Ninth Age. Both the veterans of many battles and new players with no wargaming experience can play a full match in 60-90 minutes.

Essence of War is currently in Beta version. It contains all the rules, Patrols and Army Lists you need to play Basic or Advanced games. Future releases are expected to add more immersive content and to fine-tune some of the rules and unit entries after additional playtesting. Visit the forum to leave your feedback!

The paper miniatures patrols are files you can print on thick paper, and use scissors and glue to create a paper army.
